Yierbas Shiunko, or purple cloud ointment, is based on a classic recipe updated with more gentle, cruelty-free base oils and high quality herbs and essentials. It is used traditionally to treat burns, superficial cuts, smooth the skin, and reduce irritation. It is also used in a Japanese-style medicine technique called direct moxibustion as a barrier between the skin and the special herbs (moxa) used to warm acupuncture points to help make the treatment more comfortable for the patient.
Our shiunko contains light sesame oil, beeswax, shea butter, almond oil, dang gui, zi cao, zhi zi, xue jie, guggul resin, and is scented with myrrh and sandalwood.
Shiunko can be used for burns, on irritated skin, or even chapped lips. It is made with herbs that color the cream purple, hence the name "purple cloud ointment." You may use a generous amount on your skin, but a small dab will work best as a light purple gloss on those winter kissed lips!
You should keep it away from your clothing because the pretty purple will stain them. Since beeswax is used to soilidify this cream, do not use it if you are allergic to bees or their products.
